Do you sell off the shelf ready readers?

No, we do not sell off the shelf ready readers. We can make a simple pair of proper prescription reading glasses from £19 including a frame. Off the shelf ready readers are great for wearing over your distance contact lenses, but not great for many other situations. for what they cost, we believe it is better to get some proper ones made up. They will then be accurate, fit properly and correct for all aspects of your prescription...BOOK NOW

How much are your glasses?

 

Our frames start at £24 and go all the way up to designer brands at £159+.  This includes Single vision lenses. Optional extras...Thinner lenses start from £40, Coatings and tints start at £10, Bifocals start at £29, Varifocals start at £39. Photochromic lenses start at £50...BOOK NOW

Can I have my old frame re-glazed?

 

Of course you can. We are more than happy to re-glaze your old specs...as long as the frame is in suitable condition. 90% of the time this is not a problem. Reasons for not doing so would be if the frame has become brittle or damaged in a way that would not likely survive the re-glazing process. (but we can check them over and advise further if you bring them in for us to view) If they are suitable, we do say, however, that they are re-glazed at your own risk, and no liability is held on our part for any damage caused to your own frame....BOOK NOW or see our REGLAZE information.

Do I have to be without my specs while you re-glaze them?

 

No you don't. On your 1st appointment we can scan your frame onto our machines whilst you are here, which enables us to order the lenses, and you can take your frame back home with you.  Once the lenses are ready we will book you back in and the lenses will be ready to fit into your frame while you wait.

Do you sell Raybans?

 

Yes we do! We are an official Rayban certified Stockist. We stock Optical Rayban frames, both Gents and Ladies, and also Rayban Sunglasses, with or without prescription. My prescription is out of date. Can I still get new glasses?

 

Unfortunately not. Your prescription, legally, needs to be dated within 2 years (unless it states otherwise) This ensures that the health of your eyes has been checked. If you are due an eye test, get yourself checked at any opticians, and just bring the prescription to us and we will do the rest. see our PRESCRIPTION page for more information.

 

Do I have to have an appointment?

 

We run an appointment system to enable us to mange the day and make sure you all get the best experience without being rushed. You  can BOOK ONLINE, or you can give us a call and we can book for you. (see our CONTACT page for more details of how to get in touch. If you turn up at the door without an appointment, we will happily see you if we have availability, but if we are busy, we should be able to advise what times we have availibility.

Are you fully qualified?

 

We are a fully qualified Dispensing Opticians. Jeanette George BSc (Hons) F.B.D.O. is our resident Dispensing Optician, who qualified in 1998, and undergoes continuing training and education to keep up to date with the latest innovation, technology and eye healthcare.

Why are your glasses cheaper than other opticians?

 

Well, we are a small family run business on an industrial estate, so our overheads such as rent and business rates are much lower, combined with the fact that we are not greedy, means we can offer great products at a fair price.  This was our aim from the outset when we opened in 2013.

Our practice, decor, fixtures and fittings may not be quite as flash and fancy as some high street chains, but why pay more for your specs just to fund a fancy facade. We use all the same suppliers for our frames that you would expect at any high street optician, and  all our lenses are sourced from either Omega Optix, Essilor or Zeiss Vision meaning we can offer the best products to suit your needs.

Do you have parking?

 

We do have limited parking. We have 2 customer spaces directly outside our door. If these are full, we kindly ask not to park in any spaces marked for other businesses. If there are no spaces available, there is free on- street parking just down the road on morton peto road near the bend.

Where exactly are you? 

 

We are on the corner of Morton peto road and Gapton Hall road. We are behind The Finance Shop, Opposite Expro.

Do you do eye-tests?

 

We do not do eye tests. If you get your eyes tested at any opticians, you can then bring your prescription to us. Remember, the eye test and sale of spectacles are two entirely different transactions and you have no obligation top purchase spectacles from where you have your eyes tested.

Do you sell contact lenses?

 

Unfortunately, this is something we do not do

Can I have lenses glazed into a frame I have purchased elsewhere or online?

Of course. we are more than happy to.  We do, however, say that the frame is glazed at your own risk, and iWarehouse cannot be held liable for any damage caused to your own frame.

Will you adjust or repair glasses purchase online or from other opticians?

​

We are happy to adjust any specs you may have bought online, but there is a fitting fee of £10 for this.

​

Do you do any deals or offers?

​

We keep our prices as low as we can to make sure we are cheaper than high street opticians and chains, so we don't do crazy deals to suck you in, make you have 2 pairs or bamboozle you with options and prices. We keep it simple...a fair price for exactly what you want or need. simple. (We do, however, do "Brand of the month" where each month we select a brand to highlight and promote and is offer at 10% off)

Do you do Blue Light discount

​

Yes we do. we offer 10% off of new specs, or a free coating on any re-glazed specs. Just show your Blue Light card at time of purchase. More details are on your Blue Light App.
